Do my characters have depth? How do they laugh? Writers locate the jigsaw pieces that explain essential portions of a narrative, such as character reasons for acts, by establishing character profiles. Where your character lives is another important part of who they are. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? It's easy to get lost in the fun of research and imagining backstories and details which may or may not matter.
Large families may have left some feeling left behind or unimportant. If a backstory shapes a dynamic character, this will define them. What is your greatest regret?

Additional information might include if they wear eyeglasses, have piercings, smoke, are fit, or have a condition. In addition to the character template, there are always additional character development questions you can ask. What do you consider the most overrated virtue? I'd generally recommend taking a more broad strokes approach to character detailing so that you've got more wiggle room, and don't feel so hemmed in by your original conception of who your characters are.
